I finally took down the string of paper hearts and I gobbled the last of the Valentine m&ms. It’s over, sigh. But thankfully spring seems to be just around the corner (wishful thinking?) and I have a fabulous trip to Paris to fantasize about.

I just looooove mail! The best mail comes from readers and like-minded letter writers. A couple of weeks ago, I opened up p.o. box 1219 and not one, but two letters were waiting for me. Yay! Both ladies made promises to write more letters in 2013, so I decided to send them each a letter and some supplies to help them make good on their goal.

I’m always “chuffed to bits” when readers contact me. Email, post-box, even a thumbs up on facebook–it’s all gravy. I write letters because I enjoy correspondence (and paper of course). But boy is it nice to know you dear readers are out there!

How do you do it?! Your lobster rolls are unlike any I’ve ever tasted. Chunks of fresh claw, a hint of lemon + herbs, all heaped on the most delicious brioche roll. The coleslaw and krinkle-fries round out a meal of perfection. I find them completely habit forming and dream worthy (especially during those winter months). Thank you for creating such a splendid compliment to summer weekends at the beach! You guys are the best!

I’m a veggie lover through and through. Salads are generally my lunch go-to, so imagine my delight when I came across the salad star, Sade. This woman is an expert chopper—really, she could win a contest. She’s always smiling and has my preferred dash of dressing down to a science. Dear Store Manager,
I am writing today to sing the praises of Sade! I frequent Hale + Hearty locations, all over the city, and have yet to come across a more talented chopper! Sade provides superior customer service, and always with a smile. She expertly mixes ingredients and really listens when the customer says “just a little bit of dressing please.” I always sigh when I see her ladle-ing soup or ringing at the register because every salad she makes is perfection! Please pass along my appreciation!
