I’m embarrassed to admit the blog wasn’t the only thing neglected this winter. Adam and I were married in mid-November and were fortunate enough to take a two-week honeymoon. This left very little time to prepare for my favorite holiday, Christmas!
I just love the time-honored tradition of sending holiday cards. Because I have friends who celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas, I traditionally send “Happy New Year” cards. I’m also usually a little behind and this buys me an extra week or two to post. But not even New Years could be saved in our house this year. So we opted to send Valentines– if it was good enough for Julia and Paul, it would work for Adam and me.
Because it was the highlight of our year, we decided on a wedding photo and a simple design from Paper Culture. And thanks to loads of excel wedding spreadsheets we were set on addresses. One of the perks of ordering with Paper Culture is that they’ll address and mail your correspondence for just the cost of a stamp! You can upload your addresses and voila! Heartfelt greetings appear in all your loved ones mailboxes. How great is that? And, they plant a tree for every order.
I loved sending Valentines and surprising our friends and family when they were least expecting mail. Do you send holiday cards? Can you tell I’m already thinking about Christmas… 223 days and counting!
